본 연구는 지역문화 자원의 특성에 기초하여 개발된 지역문화 교육 프로그램의 효과를 검증해 봄으로써 현장에서 지역적 특성을 고려한 교육과정을 운영할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 만 5세 유아 39명을 대상으로 11주에 걸쳐 8회의 실험처치를 실시한 결과, 지역문화 교육 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단의 유아들이 비교집단의 유아들보다 전체 그림 표상능력의 향상을 가져왔다. 특히 하위 요인에 있어 ‘기본 도형과 선의 병합’, ‘조화로운 공간 표상’, ‘주제 관련 표상’, ‘표상의 독특성’ 그리고 ‘그림의 완성도’에 있어서도 의미 있는 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다.
Abstract
This study investigates the effects of a local culture-based educational program on the development of children's representational drawing abilities and provides basic materials for the improvement of local culture-based curriculums. Subjects were 39 five year old kindergarten children and the experimental treatments were conducted 8 times during 11 weeks. The results of this study show significant differences between the experimental group and the comparison group. Especially, with regard to representational drawing ability, significant differences were found among 'the concurrence degree of basic pattern and line', 'harmonic composition', 'various forms', 'representational degrees related to subject', 'divergent thinking ability' and 'perfection of picture'. Overall, the experimental group had higher scores in representational drawing ability than did the comparison group.
