본 연구는 유치원 일과활동에서의 유아 자율행동을 관찰하고 평가할 수 있는 검사도구를 개발하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 문헌연구, 유치원 관찰, 교사면담을 토대로 검사도구의 준거를 개발하고 예비문항을 구성하였다. 개발된 예비문항에 대하여 전문가와 유치원 교사 51명을 대상으로 내용타당도 검증을 거쳐 유치원 일과활동에서의 유아 자율행동 검사도구를 개발하였다. 개발된 검사도구에 대하여 경기도지역 공․사립 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 1,014명을 대상으로 타당도와 신뢰도 및 문항양호도를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 유치원 일과활동에서의 유아 자율행동 검사도구는 만 5세 유아를 대상으로 유아교육기관의 일과활동에서 유아의 자율행동을 관찰한 바에 근거하여 평정하도록 개발된 교사용 평정도구로서 「등원 및 일과계획」, 「자유선택활동」, 「정리정돈 및 전이」, 「집단활동」, 「평가 및 귀가」의 5개 일과활동 범주의 54개 문항으로 구성되었다. 둘째, 본 연구에서 개발된 유치원 일과활동에서의 유아 자율행동 검사도구의 수렴타당도와 공인타당도, 신뢰도인 문항내적합치도와 재검사 신뢰도 및 문항양호도인 문항반응분포와 문항변별도가 적절한 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The study’s purpose was to develop a rating scale for observing and evaluating young children’s autonomous behavior in kindergarten daily activities. To this end, the researcher drafted preliminary questions for the rating scale based on a review of the literature, observation in kindergartens, and interview with kindergarten teachers. The contents of resulting drafted preliminary questions were validated by specialists in the field of teacher education and 51 kindergarten teachers, and then, the young children’s autonomous behavior rating scale on kindergarten daily activities was developed. The rating scale composed of 54 questions in five daily activity categories: arrival and planning, free-choice activities, clean-up and transition, group activities, evaluation and departure was specifically designed for teachers to observe and assess five-year-old children’s autonomous activities in their daily activities at early childhood education institutions. The developed rating scale was then applied in the observations and assessments of 1,014 five-year-old children attending public and private kindergartens in Gyeonggi-do. Validity, reliability and item qualities were then tested and found to be appropriate.
