본 연구의 목적은 유아를 위한 다문화 유아음악교육 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 알아보는데 있다. 선행연구 고찰을 통하여 유아교육현장 원장들과 교사들 대상의 요구조사를 거쳐 프로그램 시안을 구안하였고, 전문가 집단의 검증을 통해 구성된 수정안을 가지고 예비실험을 실시하여 다문화 유아음악교육의 네 가지 주제와 주제별 각 4차시 총 16차시에 해당하는 다문화 유아음악교육프로그램 최종안을 개발하였다. 개발된 다문화 유아음악교육프로그램 효과검증의 방법으로서 유아에게 적용 후 유아의 반편견과 친사회적 행동변화에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 연구대상은 B광역시에 소재한 ○유치원에 재원중인 만 4세 유아 120명으로서 실험집단 60명과 비교집단 60명으로 나누어 실험집단에서는 개발된 다문화 유아음악교육프로그램을 6주간에 걸쳐 총 16차시를 적용하였고 비교집단에는 일반교육 프로그램을 적용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS18.0을 이용하여 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전, 사후검사의 평균과 표준편차를 산출하였으며 두 집단의 차이를 알아보기 위해 t -검증을 실시하였다. 실험결과 본 연구에서 개발한 다문화 유아음악교육프로그램이 만 4세 유아들의 편견감소나 친사회적 행동변화에 긍정적 효과가 있음이 확인되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop a multicultural music education program for children and to verify its effects. Through the investigation of relevant literatures and researches, survey on the needs for multicultural music education for children was conducted with kindergarten teachers and directors prior to the development of the program. The program consisted of total 16 activities with four different themes of flags and national anthems, traditional children's songs, instruments, and dance. And each themes includes four activities. Educational goals such as 'to identify oneself', 'to discovery different cultural heritages and to understand cultural diversity' were applied to each activity. In order to verify the program effects regarding the children's anti bias and pro-social behavior, this multicultural music education program was applied to one hundred twenty four years old children those who are attending a kindergarten in B metro city during sixteen class hours. Pre- and post test were conducted to measure the level of anti bias and pro-social behavior and then SPSS18.0 was conducted for data analysis. Mean and standard deviation were calculated. T verification was also conducted to determine the difference between the experimental group and comparison group. According to the results of this study, multicultural music education program developed was effective in reducing the children's bias on race, personal appearance, and family structure and increasing their pro-social behavior as well.
