유치원 교원의 권리와 의무에 관한 인식 연구

Abstract

The study examines how kindergarten teachers recognize their teachers’ rights and responsibility and how their recognition varies due to their work experience, academic background, and establishment types of institution that they are working for. Through this study, it assesses ways to improve how kindergarten teachers regard themselves in their rights and responsibility. Kindergarten’s right is divided into the right in their status and the financial right; the right in their status is further broken down to the guarantee of status, the educational right, the basic legal rights of labor, and the basic rights of participation; the financial right is further categorized into the claims for remuneration and the claims for pension. The responsibility of a kindergarten teacher is further defined as the responsibility of diligence, the professional responsibility and the responsibility in status. The study was based on 271 kindergarten teachers who work in Busan and Kyung Nam area. The study found the three following points. First, kindergarten teachers’ recognition on their rights and responsibility is actually higher than the average. Especially, the recognition on their educational right and the claims for remuneration are higher and meanwhile, the recognition on their basic rights of participation and the claims for pension are low. Also, they recognize their responsibility more than they do on their rights. Second, kindergarten teachers who have more work experience or with stronger academic background recognize their responsibility and rights greater than others. Third, teachers who work in national or public kindergartens recognizes their rights and responsibility more than teachers who work in private kindergarten.
