The aim of this paper is to prove a common fixed point theorem for two pairs of selfmaps in a complete metric space (Theorem 3.3 ) in which one pair is compatible maps of type (A) and reciprocally continuous and the other one is a pair of weakly biased maps, using contraction condition involving rational expressions. This result partially generalizes the results of Jeong and Rhoades [1]. Similar results are proved in metric spaces, and compact metric spaces too.
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to prove a common fixed point theorem for two pairs of selfmaps in a complete metric space (Theorem 3.3 ) in which one pair is compatible maps of type (A) and reciprocally continuous and the other one is a pair of weakly biased maps, using contraction condition involving rational expressions. This result partially generalizes the results of Jeong and Rhoades [1]. Similar results are proved in metric spaces, and compact metric spaces too.
