In this article, the existence of coincidence and common fixed points for two pairs of R-weakly commuting maps satisfying weakly contractive conditions is established in a metric space. It was also shown that this common fixed point can be approximated by a modified Mann iterative process. The results obtained is an improvement on the recent results of Azam and Shakeel and others.

In this article, the existence of coincidence and common fixed points for two pairs of R-weakly commuting maps satisfying weakly contractive conditions is established in a metric space.
