푸코와 니체의 윤리적 사유는 ‘목적론적-형이상학적-규범적 도덕철학’을 ‘주체적-미적 삶의 윤리’로 전환한다. 실존의 미학(푸코)이라는, 그리고 비도덕주의(니체)라는 이름으로 진행된 그것은 미적 차원과 윤리적 차원의 혼융이지만,미학적 기획도 삶에 대한 탐미적 추구도 아니다. 오히려 ‘미적 실천’과 ‘윤리적실천’의 혼융이다. 그런 것으로서 실존의 미학과 비도덕주의는 모두 진정한의미의 삶의 윤리가 된다. 물론 실존의 미학이 비도덕주의와 내용적 일치를이루는 것은 아니다. 하지만 ‘정신’적 수용의 측면에서, 실존의 미학은 ‘20세기의 니체’라는 푸코의 닉네임을 강화시켜준다. 그런데 주권적 개인(니체), 파르헤지아스트(푸코)를 진정한 윤리적 주체로 제시하는 것은, 실존의 미학이 갖추어야 하는 실천적 구속력을 오히려 약화시킨다.
Abstract
The ethical thoughts of Foucault and Nietzsche transform “teleological-metaphysical- normative moral philosophy” into “subjective-aesthetic ethics of life.” It is not an aesthetic plan, although it is the mixture of aesthetics and ethics as it proceed in the name of aesthetics of existence and immoralism. Rather it is the mixture of ‘aesthetic practice’ and ‘ethical practice.’ As such, both aesthetics of existence and immoralism are ethics of life in the true sense. Naturally, aesthetics of existence does not align itself with immoralism in terms of contents. But, in the viewpoint of ‘spirit,’ aesthetics of existence intensifies the nickname of Foucault as “Nietzsche of 20 century.” However, to suggest healthy sovereign individual (Nietzsche) and genuine parrhȇsiaste (Foucault) as true moral subject makes doubtful the practical constraint that aesthetics of existence must carry.
