Abstract
This Article deals with possible revision of Korean Maritime Law especially as to the Chapter 1 Ship, Chapter 2 Shipowner, Chapter 8 Maritime Lien.In Chapter 1 Ship, It reviews draft proposal of article 744 ship arrest. That is to say to remove that article to allow an arrest of ship which has finished to depart home port. For the article 746 and article 748, It deals with providing of new claims which relates to wreck removal claim.In the article 766, this article reviews the proposal that article 766 have to provide slot charterer for the limitation of shipowner's liability.For the article 861, this article reviews a proposal to remove auction fee of ship in the maritime lien claims. Furthermore, it needs to deals with multimodal transport provision, electronic bills of lading in the future.
