Abstract
The Korean Maritime Law Association have been worked for proposing amendments of provisions in relation to the maritime law in the Korean Commercial Code (KCC) since 2001.The writer has participated in the working group as the person in charge of maritime perils. The writer believes that it is time for him to explain the progress of the works on the maritime perils such as collision, salvage and general average.In general average, cargo carried on deck will be allowed to be the general average sacrifice. In the collision part, the applicable scope of collision in KCC will be extended to the collision between inland vessels and indirect collision. In the salvage part, KCC will be applied to the salvage stems from contracts. 10 ingredients will be inserted for the court to assess the amount of salvage remuneration. Special compensation regimes will be added to the KCC.
