청소년의 학업부정행위와 관련 변인 연구

본 연구는 청소년의 학업부정행위가 중학교 1학년과 3학년, 고등학교 2학년의 학년별, 성별에 따라 어떠한 특성이 나타나는지 살펴보고, 부모의 양육태도와 도덕성에 따라 어떠한 관련을 갖는지 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 청소년의 학업부정행위는 학업 부정행위를 전혀 하지 않거나 가끔 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 시험 보다는 과제물에서 부정행위를 더 많이 하고 있었다. 또한 학년이 올라갈수록 학업 부정행위가 증가하였으나, 성별의 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 그리고 부모의 양육태도에 따른 청소년의 학업부정행위를 살펴보면, 모두 유의미한 상관을 나타내고 있었고, 특히, 아버지의 양육태도 중 ‘학대’요인이 학업부정행위와 가장 관련성이 높았으며, 어머니 양육태도에서는 ‘애정’적인 태도를 보일 때 가장 학업부정행위와 관련성이 많음을 보여주었다청소년의 학업부정행위와 도덕성 간의 전체적인 상관관계를 살펴보면, 과제물에 대한 학업부정행위가 도덕성의 인지적 요인을 제외하고는 모든 영역에서 유의한 상관을 보여준다. 그러나, 전체적으로 청소년의 도덕성이 시험의 부정행위에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있지 않았다. 무엇보다, 청소년의 학업 부정행위에 대한 학년, 성, 도덕성과 청소년이 지각한 부와 모의 양육태도는 어머니 양육태도가 학업 부정행위에 영향을 많이 미치는 중요한 변인으로 예측되었다. 세부적으로 청소년의 시험 부정행위에 대해서 어머니 양육태도가 매우 중요한 변인으로 밝혀졌지만, 청소년의 과제물 부정행위에서는 학년이 부정행위에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인으로 예측되었다. 이는 어머니 양육태도가 시험점수에 영향을 주지만, 과제물에 관한 것은 친구와의 영향력이 주된 것으로 보여진다. 이상의 결과로 본 연구는 청소년이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 학년에 따른 차이가 청소년의 학업부정행위에 가장 큰 영향을 끼치고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relations between young people's cheating behaviors and their school grade, sex, morality, and perceived parental attitudes. 1074 children were selected from 10 middle schools and 9 high schools in Seoul, Korea. They were 7th, 9th and 11th graders. The research was done through questionnaires measuring their cheating behaviors, their school graders, sex, morality, and perceived parental attitudes. The results were as follows:First, young people's cheating behavior occurred only occasionally. More cheating was done on homework than while taking an examination. When they were taking an examination, cheating alone was more frequent than helping other students cheat. For cheating on homework, helping others cheat was more frequent than doing their own cheating. Cheating behavior increased as the grade went up, but there was no difference between sexes. Second, young people's perception of parental attitudes influenced their cheating behavior. When there was sufficient affection, rational explanation and supervision from parents, young people's cheating behaviors were hardly found. Also, paternal abuse increased young people's cheating behavior. As for maternity fostering, young people's cheating behavior was lowered when mothers was showed affection, rational explanation and inconsistency manner. Third, the young people's morality affected their cheating behaviors. In particular, morality reduces cheating behaviors. The study showed that the PHIL factor reduced cheating behaviors on examinations and the EMP factor increased cheating behaviors. Morality shows that the PHIL factor reduced cheating alone and helping others cheat on examinations In addition, morality influences all factors except the GIG factor for cheating on or helping others cheat on homework. With regard to cheating while helping with homework, the PHIL factor and the KRAT factor lessened cheating behaviors. However, the EMP factor increased cheating behaviors. To conclude, Youth's cheating behavior was affected by maternal fostering, their school grade, paternal fostering and morality. Other influencing factors for cheating on examinations were mothers’ fostering, fathers' fostering, morality, and their school grade. Influencing factors for cheating on homework were their school grade, mothers’ fostering, morality and fathers' fostering.
