범죄 행동을 통한 대인 강도 범죄자의 유형별 분류에 관한 연구

본 연구는 대인 강도 범죄자들의 범행 시 행동 특성을 분석하고, 최소 공간분석을 통해 대인 강도 범죄자들을 유사한 범행 수법을 보이는 몇 가지 유형으로 분류하여, 최종적으로 이를 각각의 유형의 범죄자들의 사회인구학적 특성상의 차이점과 연결시킴으로써 대인 강도 범죄자 프로파일링 분석을 하였다. 국내에서 발생한 대인 강도 범죄 총 79건을 대상으로 하여 연구를 진행한 결과, 대인 강도 범죄자의 범행 수법이 크게 두 가지의 범죄 유형(계획형, 기회형)으로분류되었다. 계획형의 대인 강도 범죄자들은 범행 시작 전 범행 대상을 사전에선정하고 범행 전 범행 절차나 도주 방법까지 사전에 계획하는 등 고도의 치밀함을 보이는 경향이 많았고, 공범과 함께 범행을 저지른 경우가 많았으며, 범행에 가장 적합한 무기를 소지하고 필요에 따라서는 피해자를 상대로 무기를 사용하여 폭력적으로 피해자를 제압하였고, 체포에 대한 두려움이 없는 경우가 많은것으로 나타났다. 반면 기회형의 대인 강도 범죄자들은 범행 시 남의 눈에 띄지않는 것을 최우선으로 하여 조명이 어둡거나 인적이 드물고 주변에 숨을 곳이있으며 순찰이 흔치 않은 장소를 선택하는 경향이 있었고, 미리 무기를 준비하여 피해자를 제압하기보다는 맨손으로 피해자를 구타하거나, 무기를 보이더라도사용하기 보다는 상대를 위협하는 수준에서 그치는 행태를 보였다. 또한 이 유형의 범죄자들은 술에 취한 채로 우발적으로 범행을 저지르는 경우가 많으며,사전에 치밀한 준비 없이 범행을 저지른 결과 현장에서 체포되는 미숙함을 드러내기도 하였다. 마지막으로 이러한 대인 강도 범행 수법 유형별로 배경 특성의차이점을 살펴본 결과, 기회형 대인 강도 범죄자들의 경우 대부분 동종 전과가 없었고, 범행 전 마약을 사용하지 않으며, 노상에서 임의적으로 범행 대상을 택하는 경향이 높고, 공범의 수가 상대적으로 적게 나타난 반면, 계획형 대인 강도범죄자들의 경우 동종 전과가 3회 이상인 경우가 상대적으로 많았고, 마약을 사용한 후 범행을 저지른 비율이 유의미하게 높게 나타났으며. 약취 강도를 저지르는 경향이 높았고, 공범 수에 있어서 기회형에 비해 훨씬 많은 수의 공범을두고, 명품 등을 소지한 사람을 대상으로 하여 계획적으로 범행을 저지르는 경향이 상대적으로 높았다.
Abstract
In order to differentiate types of robbery based on crime-scene behaviors,a total of 79 robbery cases were examined. As a result, two types of robbery were identified in the present study, namely planners and opportunists. It turned out that planners were more likely to select the target in advance and consider crime procedures and route of escape before the offense, to commit offense with confederates, to display violence toward the victim by using a weapon, and to display no fear of getting caught. Meanwhile, opportunists were more likely to select offense site where is no light and no patrol around, hit the victim without a weapon,to commit offense under the influence of alcohol, and to get arrested at the crime scene. In terms of offender background characteristics,opportunists tend to have no previous conviction of robbery and not use drugs before the offense, whereas planners tend to have previous convictions of robbery and use drugs before the offense.
