국내 경찰학 관련 학술지 인용지수 비교와 상호인용 빈도를 이용한 네트워크 분석

본 연구는 학술지 인용분석을 통해 국내 경찰학 학문공동체의 특성을 탐색하고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 한국공안행정학회보를 포함한 총 11 종의 경찰학 관련 학술지를 선정하여 2014년에 게재된 논문들의 참고문헌들을분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 11개 학술지의 국내 문헌 인용 비율은 평균 50.2% 이며, ‘한국민간경비학회보’, ‘한국경호경비학회보’ 등 민간경비 연구분야와 ‘한국해양경찰학회보’ 해양경찰 연구분야에서 상대적으로 높은 국내 문헌 활용도를 보이고 있었다. 둘째, 경찰학 관련 학술지의 연구 의존도 분석에서 경찰학 관련 연구집단 간의 의존성이 상대적으로 미약한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 다른 분과 학문분야에 비하여 연구주제의 범위가 넓고, 다양한 관점에서 이루어지기 때문인것으로 판단된다. 마지막으로 경찰학 관련 11개의 학술지에 게재된 논문의 저자들은 해당 학술지의 논문을 주로 참조하고, 여타 다른 분과 학회에서 발간된 논문은 거의 참조하지 않았으며, 전체적으로 경찰학 관련 학회간의 관심의 공유와소통의 정도는 매우 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 국내 경찰학 학문공동체 간의 공유와 소통, 상호 의존 등이 충분하지 못함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 국내 경찰학 관련 학술지의 한계를 인식하고 연구분야의 발전을 위한 학술지 통합등의 방안을 모색할 필요가 있음을 제안한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of Korean academic community of Police Science based on citation analysis. This study selected total of 11 Police science journals, including Journal of the Korean Association of Public Safety and Criminal Justice and analyzed the references of papers published in 2014. The results were as follows: first. the average percentage of domestic citations was 50.2% in 11 Domestic journals. It showed a relatively high reference rate of domestic Literature in the field of private security study such as ‘Journal of the Korean Society of Private Security’, ‘Journal of the korea security science association’ and in the field of Korea Coast Guard. Second, a relatively low level of dependence rate was observed within the Police Science research group compared to that of other fields of study. This is because the scope of research topic is wide and the study was analyzed from multiple perspectives. Finally, the authors of paper published in 11 Police science journals have mostly referred to papers on related journals while they did not on journals of different field. In conclusion, it is found that communication and independence in working in partnership among the domestic Police science community was not sufficient enough. Therefore, acknowledging the limits of related police science journals and exploring ways of combining various journals would be needed.
