청소년 약물사용 발달궤적 분석: 잠재성장 모형을 중심으로

이 연구는 심각한 사회문제로 인식되는 청소년 약물사용의 원인을 검증하기 위한 종단연구이다. 많은 연구에서 검증된 사회학습이론에서 추출한 차별적 접촉 변수의 변화가 청소년 약물사용의 변화에 영향을 미치는지 잠재성장 모형을 통하여 검증하였다. 연구결과, 약물친구와의 차별적 접촉 초기치는 약물사용 초기치와 변화율에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 약물사용 변화율의 평균값이 양(+)의 값을 가짐에 따라 학년이 증가함에 따라 약물사용 비율이 매년 증가했으며, 변화율의 변량이 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타남에 따라 그 변화에 있어서 개인차가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 약물사용의 초기치와 변화율의 공분산이 .008로 양(+)의 값을 가지고 있었는데 이는 약물사용의 초기값이 높은 경우에는 급격하게, 낮은 경우에는 완만하게 증가하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 청소년 약물사용 초기에 약물사용 친구와의 차별적 접촉은 학년이 증가함에 따라 청소년 자신의 약물사용에 가장 큰 영향력을 미치며, 각 개인별 차이점에서도 약물사용친구들과 자주 어울리는 청소년들은 초기에 그렇지 않은 친구들보다는 더 많은 약물을 사용하였으며 그 증가속도도 빠르다는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study verifies the cause of adolescent substance abuse, which is seen as a major societal problem. In previous studies, latent growth modeling has been used to verify whether association with delinquent friends affect changes in adolescent substance use. Results have shown that the initial level of association with substance abusing peer has a statistically significant effect on the initial level and the rate of change in adolescent substance use. As the average rate of change of drug use has a positive value and as semester goes on, adolescent substance use increased. And the covariance of the initial level of drug use and the rate of change was found .008, which could be seen to increase rapidly if the initial level of adolescent substance abuse was high. In other words, association with delinquent peer at the first stage of substance abuse was found to predict later substance abuse.
