스마트폰 시대 미디어를 통한 한국인의 음악청취행태 분석

이 연구는 최근 한국에서 스마트폰이 급속히 확산한 시기의 음악청취행태의 변화를 탐색한 것이다. 미디어에 담긴 음악에 대한 이론적 탐색을 시작으로 스마트폰이 한국에서 대중화되는 시기인 2011년부터 2016년까지 정보통신정책연구원의 한국미디어패널 미디어 다이어리 데이터를 이용하여 한국인의 음악청취행태를 분석하였다. 조사기간 내에 음악청취에 스마트폰을 이용한 비율이 증가하였으며, 디지털파일을 이용한 감상이 줄어들고 대신 무선인터넷을 통한 감상이 증가하였으며, 가정에서의 음악청취는 줄어들고 집 이외의 공간들로 음악청취 장소가 분산되었으며, 10-20대의 음악청취시간이 줄고 40-50대의 음악청취시간이 증가하는 현상이 발견되었다. 몇 가지 한계를 가짐에도 불구하고 이 연구는 기존에 다른 많은 연구에서 언급되었던 이론과 예상을 실제 데이터를 통해 실증적으로 관찰했다는 데에 그 의의가 있을 것이며 향후 음악청취행태의 변화에 대한 추가 연구의 발판이 될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study explores the changes of music listening behavior due to the rapid spread of smartphones in Korea in recent years. Starting from the theoretical exploration of music in media, I analyzed the music listening behavior of Koreans using Media Diary data of the Research for Korea Media Panel of the Korea Information Society Development Institute from 2011 to 2016. During the survey period, it was observed to increase that the rate of using smartphones as media devices used for listening to music; the decrease of the appreciation using the digital file and the increase of the appreciation through the wireless internet were observed; the decrease of the music listening in the home and the dispersion of the music listening place in the spaces other than the house were observed; by age group, there was a decrease in listening time of 10-20s and an increase in listening time of 40-50s. Despite some limitations, this study will be meaningful in that it has empirically observed the theories and predictions that have been mentioned in many other studies through actual data. This study will be the basis of further study on the change of music listening behavior in the future.
