본 연구는 휴먼이미지학과 관계된 다양한 인접학문 중 기호학과의 관계를 확인하는 것을 목적으로, 기호학의 구조와 휴먼이미지 연구의 관계성에 대해 고찰하였다. 기호의 기본 구조로서 기표와 기의, 그리고 기호를 중심으로 이루어지는 기호작용은 휴먼이미지를 구축하기 위해 이루어지는 개인과 집단 간의 행위들과 동일한 것을 확인하였다. 구체적으로 기호학의 형식구조와 의미구조는 휴먼이미지학의 구조와 매우 동일하였다. 다만, 휴먼이미지의 의미구조는 기호학에서 다루는 의미구조보다 훨씬 다양하고 복잡한 특성을 가진다.
Abstract
This study examined the relationship between the structure of semiotics and human image research, with the purpose of confirming the relationship with semiotics among various adjacent disciplines related to human imagery. As the basic structure of signs, it was confirmed that signifiers, signifiers, and signification centered on signs are the same as the actions between individuals and groups to build human images. Specifically, the formal and semantic structures of semiotics were very similar to those of human image studies. However, the semantic structure of human images has much more diverse and complex characteristics than the semantic structure dealt with in semiotics.
