동영상을 활용한 음악과 마이크로티칭에 대한 예비 초등교사의 성찰

본 연구는 예비 초등교사들이 음악과 마이크로티칭 녹화 동영상을 보며 수업에서 어떤 점 에 초점을 두고 무엇을 성찰하며 어떻게 활용하는지 예비교사들의 수업 성찰에 대해 분석하 였다. 이를 위해 예비교사 51명이 마이크로티칭 직후와 동영상 관찰 후에 각각 작성한 자기 성찰지와 동영상 관찰 후 실시한 협의내용이 분석되었다. 연구 결과, 마이크로티칭 시연 직후 와 동영상 관찰 후 예비교사들이 작성한 성찰지 내용의 큰 변화는 없었지만, 구체적인 성찰 을 하였음을 알 수 있었다. 예비교사들은 동영상 관찰을 통해 수업 시간 운용과 학생 수준 설정의 어려움에 대한 원인과 개선 방안을 모색하였고, 수업 시연에서 미처 인지하지 못했던 점으로 발표식 수업 진행과 수업 자료의 적절성 및 다양성을 발견하였다. 그들은 동영상을 보면서 화면 속 자신의 모습에 가장 많이 주목하였으며, 동영상이 자신의 수업 성찰을 위한 발판이며 객관적인 시각에서 자신의 수업을 보는 데 도움을 준다고 인식하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate what and how preservice elementary school teachers reflect on after watching their own video-taped microteaching. Fifty-one preservice teachers wrote reflection journals two times, right after their microteaching and after watching their video-taped microteaching at home. Preservice teachers' pre-watching and post-watching reflection journals, and transcripts of the meeting between instructor and preservice teachers after watching video-taped microteaching were qualitatively analyzed. As a result, there were no major changes in the content of preservice teachers' pre-watching and post-watching reflection journals but they could reflect on their music teaching in detail after watching their video-taped microteaching. The video-taped microteaching allowed them to identify the causes of difficulties like time management and students' level setting, and find ways to improve their teaching practice. Also, they became aware of problems to be unrecognized during microteaching such as presentation-styled teaching and the necessity of appropriate, diverse teaching materials through video observation. Preservice teachers paid the attention to their appearance on the screen while watching the video. They recognized that video was a springboard to reflect on their teaching, and helped them to look into it objectively.
