중국 내몽고 화림격이 벽화고분의 벽화 주제와 구성 연구

본 논문은 중국 내몽고 화림격이 벽화고분의 벽화 주제와 구성 방식에 관한 것이다. 화림격이 벽화고분은 1971년에 내몽고 화림격이현에서 발견된 대표적인 동한대 벽화고분 중하나로 풍부한 벽화와 방제가 발견된다. 화림격이 벽화고분의 벽화 주제로는 크게 현실 세계와 천상 세계로 나눌 수 있다. 현실세계를 표현한 주제로는 묘주도, 거마행렬도, 역사고사인물도, 건축도, 악무백희도, 속리도, 푸주 및 농경 등이 있고 천상 세계를 표현한 주제로는 상서도, 사신도, 운문 등이 있다. 묘주의 생활과 관련한 벽화는 전실과 중실, 후실에 모두 주요하게 등장한다. 본 연구는 벽화의 내용뿐만 아니라 묘장 구조에 따른 벽화 위치를 살펴보아 벽화의 전체적인 흐름을 알아보고자 한다. 전실에는 묘주의 정치적 지위를 나타내며, 중실에는 묘주가 한가롭게 지내는 모습과 역사고사 인물도, 거마행렬도 등이 그려져 있다. 후실에는 묘주의 사적인 생활 모습이 그려져 있다. 나머지 세 개의 측실에는 묘주를 위해 생산 활동하고 있는 시자들의 모습이 주로 묘사되어 있고, 목조의 기둥과 두공, 운문이 그려져 있다. 이처럼 화림격이 벽화고분에는 묘주의 일평생이 담겨 있으며, 정치적 신분과 경제적 부 등을 벽화를 통해 과시하고 있다. 고분 구조에 따라 벽화의 배치를 살펴보면, 전실의 벽화는 중축선을 기준으로 좌우대칭적이다. 중실은 좌에서 우로 향하는 대각선을 기준으로 서벽과 북벽에는 역사고사인물도가주요하게 그려져 있고, 거마행렬도는 남벽과 동벽에 그려져 있다. 후실의 벽화는 여러 주제가 등장하는 전실과 중실과 다르게 묘실 전체에 묘주의 사적 생활 모습이라는 공통된 주제의 벽화를 보여준다.
Abstract
Founded in Xindianzi Town, Helinge'er County, Iner Mongolia in 1971, Helinge'er tomb is one of the representative mural tomb of Eastern Han Dynasty. Helinge'er Tomb is 20 meters long, with more than 50 murals in almost al the chambers. About 250 engraved tiles(Bangti榜題) are found in Helinge'er tomb, the largest number among Han Dynasty mural tombs. Helinge'er tomb is the most abundant in the contents of the murals of Han Dynasty among the numerous mural tombs, and the conditon of the tombs and murals provides important materials for the study of ancient Chinese painting history. In aditon, it has a historical signifcance in that it reflects the social image of the time, such as society, economy, culture, and art in the later period, when Helinge'er tomb was built and vidly glimpses the funeral arts of the region at that time. The main theme related to the ocupant’s real life experience is depicted in Helinge'er tomb, and the representations of the celestial world such as the images of the Gods of Four Cardinal Directions and various auspicious animals are depicted. In aditon, Helinge'er tomb covers most of the common features of the Eastern Han Dynasty mural, such as the burial style, mural theme, and the form of the mural. The tomb has an important meaning in the mural painting. This study aims to find out the overal flow of murals by examining not only the contents of the murals but also the location of the murals acording to the structure of the cemetery.
