Abstract
The state uses lifelong education to improve the quality of life of its people, but the environment for lifelong education for the disabled is very poor and the participation rate is also very low. In order to improve the participation rate in lifelong education, persons with disabilities and academia have been interested in improving the environment for lifelong education support for the disabled, proposing various policies, and conducting related research. However, the low participation rate remains an unresolved problem, requiring a new approach to revitalizing lifelong education for the disabled. Accordingly, research on potential learners, who are future consumers who do not participate in lifelong education, was suggested as an alternative, and a study on their intention to participate in lifelong education was conducted. The Anderson model was used to scientifically analyze the individual factors affecting the intention to participate, and 4,234 adults with disabilities who participated in the 2021 Life Panel Survey for the Disabled were targeted. Based on the Anderson model, a multinomial logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the effects of preceding factors, possible factors, and desire factors, and based on the research results, implications for revitalizing lifelong education for the disabled were presented.
