한국교회를 위한 효과적인 전도모델의 연구

한국교회는 케리그마, 코이노니아, 그리고 디아코니아를 통하여 선교적 사명을 최선을 다하여 감당하려고 할 때 선교적 교회가 될 수 있다. 한국교회는 진정한 의미에서 선교적 교회가 될 때 하나님의 선교, 즉 세계를 향한 증거에 참여할 수 있으며 그 결과 하나님의 나라를 불러올 수 있다. 세속적인 사람들이 진정 원하는 것이 무엇인가? 그들은 교회의 다양한 사역들을 통하여 인정받으며, 보호받으며, 사랑받기를 원한다. 많은 세속적인 사람들은 교회가 선교적인 교회가 될 때 주님의 진정한 제자가 될 수 있다. 한국사회는 하나님의 나라의 가치를 깨닫고 이해할 때 그리스도의 제자들로 가득 찰 것이다. 하나님 나라의 가치는 성령 안에서 의와 평강과 희락으로 표현될 수 있다(롬 14:19). 그리스도의 제자들은 하나님 나라의 핵심가치를 이해하며 그것을 다른 사람들과 함께 나눌 수 있으며 전도에 헌신할 수 있다. 이 연구에서 제시된 전도의 모델들은 세계 속에서 전도에 헌신한 제자들을 만드는 데 크게 기여하였음을 보여준다. 존 웨슬리의 “구원의 길” 모델, 아그네스 류의 “삼각형” 모델, 조지 헌터의 “타겟” 모델, 그리고 브라이언 그린 경의 “다중적 대화의 모델”이 세속적인 사람들을 그리스도인들로 만들기 위해 개발되었다. 그들의 모델들은 그들의 문화적 상황에서 나름대로 효과적인 전도를 위한 모델들이다. 그들의 문화적 상황들이 한국의 그것들과 매우 다르기 때문에 그들의 모델들이 한국에서 반드시 효과를 나타낼 것이라고는 주장할 수 없다. 한국교회는 한국의 문화적 상황에 맞으며 한국인의 필요에 봉사할 수 있는 한국 고유의 전도모델들을 개발할 필요가 있다. 한국에서 세속적인 사람들을 효과적으로 전도하기 위해서 한국교회는 사람들의 수용성을 식별하고, 그들의 사회적 관계망을 통하여 전도하고, 토착적 사역을 실시하고, 새로운 교회들을 개척하고, 사람들의 필요를 충족시킬 수 있어야 한다.
Abstract
The Korean church can become a missional church when the church does its best in its ministries through kerygma (proclamation), kononia (fellowship), and diakonia (service). The church can really participate in God’s mission, that is, witness to the world, and as a result it can bring about God’s kingdom when it becomes a missional church in a true sense. What do the secular people really want? They may want to be recognized, respected, and cared for through various ministries of the church. Indeed, many secular people in Korea can become Christ’s disciples when the church can become a true missional church. The Korean society will be full of Christ’s disciples who will realize and actualize the value of God’s kingdom. The value of God’s kingdom can be expressed by means of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom. 14:19). Christ’s disciples know the core value of God’s kingdom and share it with others when they experienced conversion and fully committed themselves to evangelism, that is, making disciples of all nations. The models of evangelism discussed in this study reveal that they have greatly contributed to making disciples who devoted themselves to evangelism in the world. John Wesley’s “the way of salvation” model, Agnes Liu’s “triangle” model, George G. Hunter’s “target” model, and Canon Bryan Green’s “multiple conversations” model were developed to make secular people Christians. Their models were developed for effective evangelism in their own cultural contexts. Their models cannot be the best models for effective evangelism in Korea because their cultural contexts are very different from the Korean cultural context. The Korean church needs to develop its own model of evangelism which can fit Korean culture and meet the Korean people’s needs. To effectively evangelize the secular people in Korea, the Korean church needs to identify the receptive people, carry out evangelism through the social networks, implement indigenous ministries, plant new churches, and meet the people’s felt needs.
