이 논문은 현대 선교의 이슈 및 동향과 관련해서, 그리고 선교학의 제분야와 관련해서, 선교학 연구에 있어서 기독교의 중심진리가 어떤 중요성을 가지고 있는지를 밝히려는 데 그 목적이 있다. 기독교 중심진리는 “예수 그리스도의 십자가와 부활 사건에 의해서 죄사함 받고, 의롭다함을 받고, 성화되어서, 하나님 나라에 들어가서 영생을 누리게 된다”는 것으로 요약될 수 있다. 오늘날 종교다원주의 사회에서 기독교의 중심진리는 십자가와 부활이라는 신적 사건에 기초한 진리임이 분명히 선포되어야 한다. 세계종교들에 대한 선교학적 연구에 있어서, 타종교가 지식에 기초한 종교라면 기독교는 사건에 기초한 종교라는 점에서 기독교 진리의 독특성과 유일성이 강조되어야 한다. 복음은 영혼구원, 새로운 자아, 사회, 영적 세력에 관련해서 전포괄적인 해답을 준다는 면에서 타종교들이 추구했던 문제의식을 포괄한다. 선교신학의 연구에 있어서는, 전통적으로 복음주의가 강조했던 죄사함의 영혼구원이라는 기독교 중심진리를 확고히 붙잡아야 한다. 그러나 이 중심으로부터 출발해서, 하나님의 통치로서의 하나님 나라 개념에 입각한, 복음주의적 사회참여를 포괄하는 데까지 나아갈 필요가 있다. 열방선교와 선교적 교회론도 한쪽으로 치우치지 말고 균형을 잡아야 하는데, 이 균형점을 제공해주는 역할을 중심진리가 할 수 있다. 중심진리는 요한계시록에 나타나는 천국예배의 비전을 명확히 해주어야 한다. 영적 전쟁에 있어서도, 십자가와 부활을 통한 진리대결에 강조점을 두어야 한다. 참된 승리는 죄와 사망의 세력에 대한 승리이기 때문이다. 선교커뮤니케이션과 상황화에서도 복음의 본질에 대한 타협이나 훼손이 없도록중심진리가 중심의 역할을 해야 한다. 선교역사와 선교전략에 있어서도, 중심진리에 입각해서 성육신적 삶과 사역이 강조되어야 한다. 오늘날 탈육화를 특징으로 하는 “4차 산업혁명”의 시대에는 성육신적 태도가 더욱 중요하다. 사회과학의 연구에 있어서도 중심진리는 판단의 기준을 제공해줄 수 있다. 죄사함의 구원이라는 은혜로운 복음을 희석시키거나 약화시키는 사회과학 이론들은 얼핏 유용하게 보이는 것이라고 해도 수용되어서는 안 된다
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the significance of the central truth of Christianity in the study of missiology in relation to the issues and trends of modern missions and to the various fields of missiology. The central truth of Christianity can be summarized that “one may receive forgiveness of sins and sanctification by faith in the one and only Savior Jesus Christ who died and was resurrected for our redemption, and finally enter the eternal kingdom of God.” In today’s religious pluralism society, the central truth of Christianity must be clearly declared truth based on the divine event of the cross and the resurrection. In the missiological study of world religions, while other religions are religion based on knowledge, Christianity should be emphasized on the uniqueness and uniqueness of Christian truth in that it is event based religion. The gospel encompasses the problematic consciousness sought by other religions in providing a holistic solution to soul salvation, new self, society, and spiritual forces. In the study of theology of mission, we must firmly hold on to the central truth of Christianity, which is traditionally emphasized by evangelicalism. However, starting from this center, it is necessary to extend to social participation in the evangelical sense, based on the concept of ‘the kingdom of God’ as the reign of God. Overseas mission and missional church should be balanced rather than shifted to one side, and central truth can play a role in providing this balance point. The central truth should clarify the vision of the heavenly worship in the book of Revelation. In spiritual warfare, emphasis should also be placed on truth encounter through the cross and resurrection. True victory is a victory over the forces of sin and death. Central truth should play a central role in cross-cultural communication and contextualization so that there is no compromise or damage to the nature of the gospel. Mission history and mission strategy should also emphasize incarnational life and ministry based on central truth. The incarnational attitude is more important in the era of the socalled “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” which is characterized by excarnation today. In the study of social sciences, central truth can provide a basis for judgment. Social science theories that dilute or weaken the graceful gospel of the salvation of forgiveness of sins should not be accepted even if it seems to be useful at first glance.
