“구원하는 믿음”의 성격에 기초한 기독교교육의 근본 원리 및 과제

현대 기독교교육의 이론들은 각각의 입장에 따라 기독교 믿음을이해하고 정의하는 방식이 다양하다. 이러한 다양성은 근본적으로는신학의 변화와 현대 사회과학적 인식론의 영향에 기인한다. 그리고결과적으로 기독교교육의 정체성과 방향성에 혼돈과 위기를 초래한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기독교교육이 정체성을 바로 세워나가기 위해서는기독교의 가장 근본적인 문제인 믿음의 성격을 확인할 필요가 있다는점을 강조한다. “구원하는 믿음”의 성격과 기준을 이해하고 그 위에서기독교교육의 근본원칙들을 검토한다. 그리고 기독교교육이 항상 고민해야 하는 것들, 즉 사람들과 상황과 지식의 문제들을 논의하고 기독교교육의 현실적 과제들에 대해 기독교교육이 취해야 할 균형점을 “구원하는믿음”의 성격에 기초하여 모색한다. 기독교교육의 변화될 수 없는 본질과현실적 요구의 변화 사이에서 기독교교육이 견지해야 하는 기준점을 다시 한 번 분명히 하며 기독교교육의 영역이 확대되고 인식론의 변화와기독교교육의 공공성에 대한 요구에 직면하고 있는 미래 기독교교육의과제에 대한 방향성을 논의한다.
Abstract
It is not difficult to find the diverse notions of christian faith in current Christian educational theories. This diversity results from theological trends and cognitive methodology of social science. The definitions of Christian faith in current Christian education confuse the identity and the direction of Christian education. In this study, we insist on the necessity to examine the definitions of faith in biblical view for identifying Christian education. We study on the nature of “saving faith” as core of Christian faith making reference to J. Calvin. We discuss three problems based on the comprehension of “saving faith”. Firstly, the essential principles of Christian Education are identified. Secondly, in the view of “saving faith”, we deal with very important elements of Christian education : person, context, content(knowledge). Finally, we think about the needs for Christian education and try to find the direction of Christian Education in future. It is necessary for today’s Christian education to consider the diversification of educational fields, the trends of cognitive style and the public aspect of Christian education, firmly maintaining the notion of “saving faith”.
