기독교 대학 교수역량 진단도구 개발 및 타당화 연구: A대학교를 중심으로

급변하는 교육 환경의 상황 속에서 국내 각 대학은 생존을 위해 교육환경의 구축, 교육과정의 개발 등 교육의 질적 개선과 경쟁력 확보를 위해사력을 다하고 있다. 그렇다면 어떻게 대학 교육의 질을 확실하게 높일수 있을까? 여러 가지 대안이 있겠지만 본질적으로 고등교육기관의 경쟁력은 주요 인적자원인 교수진과 학생의 역량에 달려있다고 볼 수 있으며, 그중에서도 교수자의 역량은 대학의 발전과 학생의 역량 형성 등 여러 방면에 지대한 영향을 끼친다. 이에 본 연구는 기독교 대학의 교수자들이갖추어야 할 교수역량을 진단하는 도구를 개발하기 위해 수행되었고, 무엇보다 신뢰도와 타당도를 갖춘 진단 검사를 개발하기 위해 최선의 노력을 다하였다. 이를 위하여 연구자들은 앞선 연구에서 도출된 초기 교수역량 모델을바탕으로 연구자들은 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였고, 확인적 요인분석을 실시하여 적합도를 검증하였다. 우선 기본 역량, 준비 역량, 실행 역량, 평가 역량의 4개의 영역으로 나누어 총 40개의 문항으로 구성된 초기 모델의 신뢰도 검증을 위해 기초통계량과 Cronbach’s 값을 살펴보았는데, 전체 문항에 있어 신뢰도는 문제가 없었다. 그 다음 과정으로는 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 각 문항들의 타당도를 검증했는데, 그 결과 4개 역량, 40개 문항에서 19개 문항을 제거하고 1개의 역량을 추가해, 최종적으로 5개 영역, 21개 문항을 선정하였다. 요인의 명칭도 이 과정에서 기본역량, 준비 역량, 소통과 수업관리 역량, 코칭과 매체사용 역량, 평가 역량으로 수정하였다. 이와 같이 수정된 문항에 대한 타당도를 검증하기 위해 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 큰 문제가 없는 것으로 나타나 최종적인 교수역량 진단도구를 완성할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구의 결과들을 통해 다음과 같은 논의점들을 정리할 수 있었다. 첫째, 이번에 개발된 교수역량 진단도구는 A대학은 물론 다른 기독교대학들에서 강의하는 교원들을 위한 다양한 교수역량 강화 프로그램을위한 기초 도구로 사용될 수 있을 것이다. 둘째, 본 교수역량 진단도구를사용할 때 그 잠재력을 극대화하기 위해서는 몇 가지 운영 상의 주의할점이 있는 것으로 여겨진다. 셋째, 기독교학교(종립학교나 기독교 대안학교)나교회교육을 위한 교수역량 진단도구도 개발이 되고 이를 적극적으로 활용하게 된다면 향후 한국의 기독교교육의 질을 획기적으로 높이는데 있어 크게 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
In the rapidly changing educational environment, each university in Korea is making every effort to improve the quality of education and secure competitiveness, such as establishing an educational environment and developing a curriculum to survive. How, then, can the quality of university education be reliably improved? Although there are many alternatives, it can be seen that the competitiveness of higher education institutions is essentially dependent on the competence of faculty and students, which are major human resources, and among them, the competence of instructors has a profound impact on various aspects such as the development of the university and the formation of the student’s competency. Therefore, this study was conducted to develop a tool for diagnosing teaching competencies that professors at Christian universities should have, and above all, to develop diagnostic tests with reliability and validity. For this purpose, researchers verified reliability and validity based on the initial teaching competency test derived from the previous study, and verified suitability by conducting a confirmatory factor analysis. First of all, the basic statistics and Cronbach’s values were examined to verify the reliability of the initial model, and there was no problem with reliability in all items. In the next process, the validity of each question was verified through exploratory factor analysis, and as a result, 19 questions were removed, and 1 competency was added, and 5 areas and 21 questions were finally selected. The names of factors were also revised into basic competencies, preparation competencies, communication and class management competencies, coaching and media use competencies, and evaluation competencies. As a result of conducting a confirmatory factor analysis to verify the validity of the revised items, it was found that there were no major problems, and the final teaching competency diagnosis tool was completed. Through the results of these studies, the following discussion points could be summarized. First, the teaching competency diagnosis tool developed this time can be used as a basic tool for various teaching competency strengthening programs for teachers who teach not only at University A but also at other Christian universities. Second, it is considered that there are some operational precautions to maximize the potential of this teaching competency diagnosis tool. Third, if a teaching competency diagnosis tool for Christian school or church education is developed and actively used, it will greatly contribute to dramatically improving the quality of Christian education in Korea in the future.
