목적 : 본 연구는 간호학생의 보완대체요법에 대한 인식, 경험 및 태도에 대해 조사연구하여 현재 병원치료 이외의 제도권 밖에서 행해지고 있는 보완대체요법 사용이 간호학 영역에서 활용되어 간호중재를 마련하고 교육적 프로그램을 위한 기초자료에 활용하기 위하여 시도 되었다. 방법 : 자료수집은 2014년 11월부터 12일까지였으며, 경상북도에 소재한 간호대학에 재학중인 간호학생 230명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구도구는 손행미(2002)가 개발한 태도측정도구를 사용하였고, 자가보고식 설문지를 이용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 일반적 특성 및 보완대체요법의 이용항목 인식과 경험, 태도는 기술통계로, 태도와 일반적 특성간의 관계는 t-test, ANOVA로 분석하였고, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 변수는 Scheffe’s test로 사후검정을 실시하였다. 결과 : 간호학생의 보완대체요법은 대체로 긍정적이였다. 보완대체요법에 대한 간호학생의 태도는 성별, 학년, 보완대체요법의 사용유무에 따라 유의함을 보였다. 결론 : 보완대체요법의 실무적용을 위한 과학적이고 체계적인 간호중재가 개발되어야 한다. 아울러 보완대체요법의 효과에 대한 과학적 검증과 기관인증이 필요하며 교육적 요구와 필요성을 충족시키기 위해 다양한 교육프로그램이 필요하다고 사료된다.
Abstract
Purpose : This study aimed to provide a basic resource for developing nursing interventions and educational programs for complementary and alternative therapies(CAT) by examining nursing students’ perception, experience, and attitudes toward CAT. Methods: Data were collected targeting 230 nursing students from October 20 to November 10, 2014, and analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, χ²-test, and ANOVA with SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results: Results showed that CAT were performed by CAT specialists in combination with hospital treatments for individuals suffering from chronic pain and musculoskeletal diseases. Nursing students obtained information on and experience of CAT through the Internet. CAT were used for psychological and mental stability as a supplementary treatment. The majority of the participants used Yoga followed by massage as a sub-therapy of the program. They said that openness of medical staff and active communication are important for having a positive attitudes toward CAT. There are differences in attitudes toward CAT according to gender, student levels, and previous experience on CAT. Conclusion: It is crucial for nursing students to have right perception, experience, and attitudes toward CAT in order to apply CAT to the clinical field.
