이 논문은 지금까지 교육평가에서 그 의미가 상대적으로 간과되어 온 정보이용자의 입장을 중심으로 교육평가의 의의와 특성을 정리하고, 학교교육에서 핵심적 정보이용자인 학습자 중심의 평가보고가 어떻게 이루어져야 하는지를 제안하고자 하였다. 먼저 정보이용자 중심 교육평가의 의의를 살피고, 이 평가에서 전제해야 할 공준과 평가의 과정 및 평가정보의 질적 특성을 논하였다. 다음으로 학습자 중심의 교육을 표방하는 제7차 교육과정 운영에 따른 수학과 평가 현황을 파악하고 이에 대한 분석을 실시하여 학습자가 평가정보를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있어야 한다는 사실이 현 교육과정의 평가지침에서 어떻게 간과되는지를 밝혔다. 끝으로, 학교교육의 핵심적 정보이용자인 학습자가 평가결과를 학습목표 성취에 효과적으로 활용하기 위해서 평가보고가 어떠해야 하는지, 그리고 이를 위한 개선점은 무엇인지를 논하였다.
Abstract
Educational evaluation is defined by the theory of information to permit information users to identify, measure, manipulate and communicate useful educational information concerning an educational curriculum for making decisions. If we accept the definition above, the demands of information users are significant in the light of conceptual framework of educational evaluation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the conceptual framework of educational evaluation from information users' perspectives and to investigate the qualitative characteristics which satisfy information users' needs for decision making. We also show that students aren't provided sufficient information of evaluation results to decide for their study plans by analyzing an evaluation study of the 7th primary curriculum. Finally, this study suggests how to improve evaluation system for students in mathematics.
