Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate logics and strategies of School Based Curriculum Management system for the purpose of improving the effectiveness of school education. The concept of School Based Curriculum Management can be considered as a subsystem to School Based Management. The logics for School Based Curriculum Management system are autonomy, accountability, effectiveness, creativity, professionalism and participation. Therefore, the 5SB-1SLM theory is suitable for the analysis of subcategory to School Based Management. The 5SM -1SLM theory is a subsystem for the settlement of School Based Management. First, 5SB can be divided by School Based Decision Making, School Based Curriculum Management, School Based Budgeting System, School Based Staffing System, and School Based Staff Development. Next, 1SLM is Strategic Layer Management in which strategic management and layer management are mixed. The dynamic process of School Based Management can be operated by Strategic Layer Management. The system of School Based Curriculum Management is a structure which has a planning-operation-evaluation-feedback process. The aim of School Based Curriculum Management is to increase autonomous, creative, accountable and effective management system. The strategies of School Based Curriculum Management system for the purpose of improving the effectiveness of school education are as follows. They are the ideological strategy, procedure strategy, layer management system strategy, evaluation system strategy, and School Based Staff Development system strategy which can control the quality of School Based Curriculum Management.
