본 논문에서는 한국고용정보원에서 조사한「2006년 대졸자 직업이동 경로조사」자료를 이용하여 졸업 직후 취업률 수준이 어느 정도인지를 교육개발원 조사 자료와 비교 · 분석하고, 졸업 직후 취업자가 미취업자에 비해 졸업후 1년 6개월의 시간이 지난 2006년 10월 현재 시점에서도 보다 양호한 노동시장 성과를 보이는지에 대해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 교육개발원 자료에서 제시된 취업률은 고용정보원 자료보다 7% 정도 더 과대 추정된 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 회귀분석 결과 졸업 직후 취업자가 미취업자에 비해 현재 일자리의 속성이 보다 양호한 것으로 나타나지만, 이러한 효과가 단순히 졸업 직후 취업자의 근속연수가 길기 때문에 나타나는 결과일 가능성이 있음을 확인하였다.
Abstract
This paper estimates the employment ratio over graduates from higher educational institutions, using 'Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey'(GOMS) data which is made by Korea Employment Information Service. This ratio is compared with the officially published employment ratio announced by Korean Educational Development Institute(KEDI). And this paper analyzes the differences of labor market achievements between graduates who were employed soon after graduation and those who were not. We find that the employment ratio announced by KEDI is overestimated by 7% compared by the ratio using GOMS data. And graduates who were employed soon after graduation show better labor market conditions than those who were not. But we find these kinds of differences disappear mostly when we control their tenure instead of their age.
