Abstract

This study aims to find the value and the role of the work-life balance of Generation Y. For such purpose, the generation, a criterion, and the work value are set as an important leading factors for the work-life balance. A reason for having the generation as a criterion can be found in the fact that the work-life balance of Generation Y is appeared as an critical issue for corporate human resource management. However, the other reason is to propose the necessity to find differentiated characteristics and needs for each group subjected to the work-life balance. And the reason to see the work value as a critical leading factor is the adjustment of relation and the definition of the state of work-life balance is considered to be impacted depending on what is pursued through the influential work of the most fundamental part in the work-life balance.
