The questionnaire included general characteristics, type of characteristics, social self-efficacy, appearance satisfaction, depression, and interpersonal relationship competency. The results were analyzed with SPSS/Win 25.0 program using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The interpersonal relationship competency was significantly correlated with experience of dating relationship, social self-efficacy, depression. Factors that affect the interpersonal relationship competency were experience of dating relationship (β=.15, p=.006), social self-efficacy (β=.31, p<.001), depression (β=-.48, p<.001). Depression had the greatest influence on the interpersonal relationship competency. The explanatory power of model was 57.0% (F=24.54, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to identify the level of interpersonal relationship competency and implement various curricular and extracurricular programs for enhancing interpersonal relationship competency among nursing students.
