본 연구에서는 영남대학교박물관 소장 <천하도>를 대상으로 현상 모사본과 복원 모사본을 제작하였다. 모사본을 제작하기 위해 여러 차례 원본을 실견하였으며, 육안 조사와 과학적 조사를 실시하였다. 육안 조사와 과학적 조사를 통해 원본에 사용된 재료와 기법을 분석하였고, 장황 원형을 추정하였다. 디지털 복원, 바탕재 실험, 색표 및 연구작 제작을 진행하여 원본과 모사본의 유사성을 높였다. 더불어 <천하도>를 다른 천하도와 비교함으로써 <천하도>가 지닌 가치를 규명하고자 하였다. <천하도>는 팔괘가 그려진 원형 천하도이자 기호적 성격이 강한 지도로 지명을 다섯 가지 색상으로 구분하고, 색상을 조화롭게 사용하고 있어 회화적 가치가 큰 지도임을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
In this study, a phenomenon simulation and a restored simulation were produced targeting the director of the Yeungnam University Museum, "Cheonhado". In order to produce a simulation, the original copy was found several times, and visual and scientific investigations were conducted. Through visual and scientific investigations, the materials and techniques used in the original were analyzed, and the feldspar prototype was estimated. Digital restoration, background material experiments, color tags, and research works were produced to increase the similarity between the original and the simulated copy. In addition, by comparing "Cheonhado" with other worldly islands, we tried to clarify the value of "Cheonhado". "Cheonhado" is a circular world map with eight trigrams on it and a map with strong symbolic characteristics, and it was confirmed that it is a map of great pictorial value because the symbols corresponding to the place names are classified into five colors and colors are used in harmony.
