가정의 절전행동에 있어 절전의식의 매개효과 분석 :행동경제학적 해석과 한계

본 연구에서는 정보습득에 따른 소비자의 심리 및 행동변화 이론을 가정에서의 전기절약에 적용해보고자 한다. 특히 전기절약의식이 가지는 매개효과에 집중하여 전기절약정보가 전기절약행동으로 발현되는 과정을 분석하고, 직업 전문성, 정책 관심도, 전업주부 등 특성에 따라 차이를 밝혀본다. 검증 결과 다중회귀분석과 부트스트래핑 방식을 통해 전기절약의식은 정보가 행동에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 부분 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 특성별로는 전문가와 전업주부는 전기절약정보, 의식, 행동 등 모든 수준에서 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 차이를 보였고, 정책 관심군은 정보 이외에 의식과 행동에서는 특별히 높은 차이를 보이지 않았다. 특성별 그룹에서도 절전의식의 매개효과는 모두 나타났고, 매개강도는 정책관심군, 전업주부, 전문가 순으로 나타났다. 이는 정책관심군과 전업주부에게는 절전을 위한 의식 고취가, 전문가에게는 풍부한 정보 제공이 상대적으로 더 효과적임을 보여준다. 본 연구는 사회적 절약 의식과 관련된 정보의 역할을 다루었다는 점에서 최근 부각되는 행동경제학적 연구들과 공통점을 가진다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the mediating effect of electricity saving consciousness between electricity saving information and electricity saving behavior in residential sector. Also it shows the differences of the result according to the characteristics like professional expertism, interest in policy, and full-time housewife. Generally the partial mediating effect of electricity saving consciousness is confirmed through multiple regression analysis and bootstrapping method. Also it is confirmed that professional expertism has a significant and positive impact on the level of electricity saving information, consciousness, and behavior and the full-time housewife does equally, but interest in policy affects positively only the level of electricity saving information. The mediating effect of electricity saving consciousness is confirmed in each group with characteristics and the strength of mediating effect is highest in the group of interest in policy, followed by full-time housewife and professional expertism. This result implies that the inspiration of consciousness is effective to people with the interest in policy and full-time housewife, but abundant information is more helpful to people with professional expertism to make them save electricity at home.
