양극화 현상이 심화되면서 이를 해결할 대안으로 사회적 기업에 대한 관심이 증가되고있다. 특히 2007년 사회적 기업 육성법이 제정되면서 사회적 기업에 대한 지원과 관심이크게 확대되고 있다. 그러나 사회적 기업은 그 규모가 영세하고 수익성을 담보할 수준의정착단계에 진입한 경우가 많지 않다. 따라서 사회적 기업의 지속가능한 성장을 위해서는정부의 정책적⋅재정적 지원이 필수적이다. 그러나 사회적 기업에 대한 지원의 타당성과지원규모의 적절성에 대한 논란이 지속되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사회적 기업의 발전방향을 모색하기 위해 사회적 기업에 대한 지원 주체이자 소비자 혹은 잠재적 참여자가 될국민들의 관점에서 사회적 기업에 대한 인식과 사회적 기업에 대한 정책지원을 위한 지불의사액을 도출하고자 하였다. 이러한 분석결과는 정부의 사회적 기업에 대한 재정지원 규모의적절성과 타당성 및 향후 정부의 지원정책방향에 대한 시사점을 제공할 수 있다.
Abstract
With the deepening social polarization, the interest in social enterprises is increasing. After establishing Social Enterprise Promotion Act, government has supported the social enterprises financially. However, there have been some disputes about the validity of government's financial support. Therefore, this study tried to check the public's attitude to the social enterprises. Furthermore, by estimating the public's willingness to pay for it, this study tried to draw implications about the scale of financial support. According to the survey result, only 51.6% of respondents were willing to pay for the social enterprises. Furthermore, the total willingness pay of public was smaller than the total amount of government's financial support to the social enterprises.
