Abstract
The purpose of this essay is not only analyzing Lee Tae-jun's 「Monji(dust)」 but also considering the meaning of this work in Lee Tae-jun's literature. The results are as follows ; First, Lee Tae-jun's 「Monji(dust)」 is placed between 「Chotjuntoo(First combat)」 and 「Gohyangkil(Going home)」 published after crossing over the 38th Parallel into North Korea. Next, in this work Lee Tae-jun made shape his own thought who considered political situation of divided nation by ‘Hanmoisunsaeng(Teacher Hanmoi)’ Finally, in this work, even emphasizing North Korea through exaggeration and distortion of conditions in South Korea before and after 1948, Lee Tae-jun gave readers a clue in future situation of Korea ; that is adherence of dividing country. And he also forecasted his own future through Hanmoisunsaeng's death who didn't adapt himself into either side. In 「Monji(dust)」, Hanmoisunsaeng's death means author's death, so it indicates the fact that Lee Tae-jun understood exactly his own situation in 1950.
