Purpose: The objective of this study is to analyze and compare the detection pattern of residual pesticides according to the morphological characteristics of the main fruits and vegetables using data comparison. Methods: The two different datasets were collected. One is the residual characteristics reported in the paper and the other is the pesticide detection data for same crop. The data of weight, surface area and pesticide data for crops were used to compare the detection pattern between the two types of datasets. A total of nine agricultural products were selected for analysis of residual detection patterns according to the morphological characteristics. Results: The results of four cases for nine crops are as follows. In the surface ratio based on the weight of crop, the violation rate of mini tomato was higher than tomato in case 1. The twisted pepper had a higher violation rate than the chili pepper in case 2. Mini paprika had a small number of safety investigation, making it difficult to analyze violation patterns with paprika in case 3. In the leafy vegetables, which considers the dilution effect of the surface form and growth rate of the crop, the violation rate of perilla leaf was higher than the lettuce, and kale’s violation rate was higher than lettuce in case 4. In addition, pesticide components detected as violations in nine crops were extracted and discussed. Conclusion: By comparing the detection patterns of nonconformity according to morphological characteristics, we derived the items to be considered in safety investigation. The results of this study can be used as basic data for establishing safety policies in the future.
