Abstract
We observed the clinical and epidemiological status in 58 cases of Microsporum ferrugineum infectiony that were mycologically diagnosed at the Catholic Skin Disease Clinic from 1976 to 1999. There were more patients in winter and spring. M. ferrugineum infections were mostly composed of scalp (85%), face (7%). M. ferrugineum was the highest in children under the age of 20 years. M. ferrugineum was not isolated after 1990.
