한국교회는 성경의 가르침같은 지식적인 측면을 강조했으나, 신앙적인 삶의 가치나 태도, 실천의 측면에서는 경시되어져 왔다. 교회교육은 성경의 지식으로만 인간의 삶과 관계된 구원의 진리에 이르게 하는 데는 불완전하므로, 지·정·의·성이 연합된 인성 교육의 중요성을 하나님의 교육 안에서 이뤄질 수 있도록 교회교육이 도와야 한다. 기독교 인성교육은 인간의 본성을 새롭게 창조할 능력의 말씀으로 교육하여 교회공동체에 도덕적, 윤리적인 행동양식을 갖도록 하는 것이다. 인간은 하나님의 교육을 매개로 각성과 회개를 하게 되고, 영혼 깊은 곳에서 참 기쁨을 누리게 되는 동시에 타인의 영혼 깊은 곳을 각성시키게 된다. 이렇게 인성교육은 영혼의 깨달음과 함께 내면을 각성함으로 하나님의 형상을 지닌 이웃을 사랑함 가운데서 소망의 삶을 추구하게 된다. 따라서 인간은 교회교육에서 인성교육을 실시하여 하나님을 향한 사랑과 이웃을 향한 사랑이 실천되어지는 삶으로 인도되면서, 창조주 되신 하나님의 창조의 목적대로 하나님께 영광을 돌리는 삶을 살아야 한다.
Abstract
Korean churches have always emphasized the aspect of knowledge but they have neglected essential life- values of emotional and volitional aspects such as the value and attitude towards christian life and the exchange of conscience. The importance of personality education incorporated with knowledge, emotion, volition, and sanctity should be considered as the first priority in the God's education because Biblical knowledge alone is incomplete and can be just reached to the truth of salvation, Christian personality education makes church communities take up the patterns of ethical and moral behavior and recreate human nature through Gods word. Man awakens and repents by the education of God, and thereby not only enjoying genuine pleasure in the depth of his spirit, but also stimulating the depth of others. Thus, he begins to seek the life of hope and love for his neighbors through the enlightenment of the spirit and inner awakening by the education. If Personality education in church education is conducted and led with intentions of practical life full of love towards God and neighbors, man ought to lead the life giving glory to God according to the purpose of the creator.
