Abstract

The purpose of this research is to inquiry of narrative about the Start-Up experience of Christian Emerging Adults. A research question is In the Context of an era of jobless youth, What does Start-Up experience mean to Christian Emerging Adults? To explore this question, I select the narrative inquiry, one of the Qualitative research method as the research method. Research participants are 3 co-start-up members. Research has done from 11, May, 2014 to 13, June, 2014. Collected materials include field note, interview transcripts, photographs etc. The results of research are three narratives like these. First narrative is Finding vocation. Finding vocation is most important and inclusive narrative of start-up experience. Research participants used ‘dream’, ‘vision’, ‘goal’ , but researcher named christian ‘vocation’ Second narrative is doing role performance. Participants take the role of CEO, COO, CFO for staring-up. Participants have persevered in their efforts to have the capacity to task the role. Third narrative is self-reflecting. Self-reflecting is individual and internal experience related to finding vocation and doing role performance. Co-start-up company means to research participants like these. First, Start-up company is a context of christian education to find vocation and do role performance and reflect themselves. Second, Start-up company is most fiercely-contested battleground state in the paradoxical context of christian value and contemporary commercial value.
