In the generative grammar, the Wh-phrase movement has been investigated by such linguistics as Huang (1982), Lasnik & Saito (1984), Chomsky (1993, 1994, 1995)...etc. However, due to recent works, it is necessary to study the constructions of the Cu-island in Spanish. This paper aims to suggest a revised analysis of the constructions of the Cu-island in Spanish. This paper is based on the minimalist program, in concrete, the principle of economic derivation. By this principle, derivation must be minimal in cost, i.e., there should be no superfluous/ extra steps in derivation. In fact, a lot of the constructions of Cu-island in Spanish are explained by this principle but others constructions are not. In order to solve this problem, in this study, I propose that multiple specifier hypothesis (Chomsky, 1994, 1995) is applied to the mentioned constructions in Spanish.
