남녀가 결혼을 통해 부부가 되면 부부는 상호관계를 통해 함께 성숙해야 한다. 만약 부부의 잘못된 관계가 형성되면 이 부부체계는 가족 내의 여러 다른 체계와 연결하여 많은 문제들을 야기하게 된다. 그런 점에서 오늘 날 가정 문제의 근원은 부부체계 즉 부부관계의 잘못됨이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 중요성 때문에 문제 해결 방안으로서 부부관계요인에 대한 연구와 함께 그것에 기초한 부부교육 프로그램들이 개발되고 실행되어 부부관계 증진을 도와주고 있다. 본 연구에서는 부부 관계에 미치는 주요요인들이 무엇이며, 건강한 기독인부부 관계를 형성하기 위해 어떤 요인이 강조되어야하는가를 문헌연구를 통해 밝힌다. 그리고 부부관계 증진을 돕기 위해 미국에서 개발되어 시행되고 있으며 국내에서도 여러 가지로 연구, 시행되고 있는 다음의 세 프로그램들을 개관한다. 그것들은 ①Marriage Encounter ②Marriage Enrichment 그리고 ③PREPARE/ENRICH이며 각 프로그램에서 강조하는 관계 요인들을 분석한다. 연구의 구성은 들어가는 말, 부부의 발달과제로서의 관계요인과 기독교교육의 과제, 관계요인을 증진하는 대표적인 프로그램들의 개관 그리고 프로그램에 나타난 부부 관계요인과 한국기독인 부부를 위한 프로그램개발에 참고할 수 있는 제안으로 되어있다. 본 연구는 한국인 기독인 부부관계 증진을 위해서 어떠한 요인이 강조되어야 할 것인가를 모색함으로 부부교육 프로그램개발에 기여할 수 있는 기초를 제공하게 될 것이다. 또한 기독교교육의 장(場)의 하나인 가정이 감당해야할 부부교육에 대한 학문적 기여와 함께 기독인 부부들이 건강한 부부관계를 증진하는데 도움을 주게 될 것이다.
Abstract
Couple relationship grows its significance in a family. Now it is considered to be the core of a family. Hardships of a family members’ result from a broken couple relationship. Therefore it is necessary to study a couple’s bonding factors in detail. And it is widely useful to develop and implement a couple education program. By surveying the literature, this article identifies the bonding factors in a couple relationship. This illuminates the relationship enhancement factors in a Christian couple. This shows their relationship enhancement factors by analyzing the three couple relationship enhancement programs which are developed in USA and introduced and implemented in Korea; Marriage Encounter, Marriage Enrichment, and PREPARE/ENRICH. This article is composed of introduction, couple relationship factors, the three couple relationship enhancement programs, the programs’ relationship enhancement factors, and suggestions for developing a relationship enhancement program for the Korean Christian couples. This article provides a basis on developing a couple education program for the Korean Christian couples. This provides practical knowledges as well as theoretical contributions to the couple education as a Christian education.
