자전적 글쓰기 교육과정을 통한 여성주의 기독교교육

여성주의 기독교교육과정의 하나로서 자전적 글쓰기 교육과정은 여성 학습자들의 온전한 인간성 및 인간의 존엄성이 회복되도록 도와, 여성 학습자들로 하여금 주체로서 타자와의 관계 안에서 창조적이며 통전적인 삶을 살게 하려는데 그 목적이 있다. 자전적 글쓰기 교육과정은 전통적인 남성중심의 기독교교육에서 여성들에게 전수된 왜곡된 가치와 삶의 양식을 해체하고, 학습 공동체 안에서 하나님과 타자와 내가 함께 하는 여행을 통해 하나님, 인간, 그리고 모든 피조물과의 관계의 영성을 재건함으로써 자아를 만나고, 그 자아를 성숙에 이르게 여정이다. 여성주의 기독교교육과정의 하나로서 자전적 글쓰기 교육과정은 여성의 경험, 성서 이야기, 사회적 전기를 교육내용으로 삼는다. 교수－학습과정은 의식화 및 심미적 교육, 대화교육, 영성교육 방법으로 진행되도록 설계하여, 여성의 창조성, 관계성, 통전성을 제고하도록 하였다. 그리고 이러한 자전적 글쓰기 교육과정에서 요청되는 교사의 모습은 자아를 찾는 여행의 동반자, 후원자, 지식 창조자이다. 자전적 글쓰기 교육모형은 1단계, ‘혼자 하는 여행: 자전적 글쓰기－창조적 자아성숙을 위한 활동’, 2단계, ‘함께 하는 여행: 자전적 텍스트 나누기－관계적 자아성숙을 위한 활동’, 3단계, ‘다시 혼자 하는 여행: 자전적 글쓰기－통전적 자아성숙을 위한 활동’으로 구성되어 있다. 이 교육모형에 따라 지속적인 글쓰기를 수행했을 때 학습자들의 삶과 자아에 미치는 영향을 심층면접 자료를 분석한 결과, 학습자들은 자전적 글쓰기를 통해 자아를 만나고 존재의 의미를 발견하면서 자존감을 회복하고 긍정적인 자아를 형성하였다. 학습자들의 자아개념이 변화되면서 하나님과 관계성이 새롭게 형성되었으며, 이 관계성 안에서 하나님의 뜻을 파지한 학습자들은 그 뜻을 삶 속에서 해석하고 실천하고자 하였다. 또한 이들은 삶의 긍정적인 요소를 확장시키고 세상의 아름다움도 발견하면서 사고도 몸도 억압으로부터 자유로워지고 있었다. 자전적 글쓰기 교육과정에 참여하면서 나타나는 이와 같은 통전적인 변화는 여성을 자기－의식적이고 자아－창조적 주체로 서게 하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to conceptualize autobiographical curriculum and to suggest an autobiographical writing model as one of feminist Christian curricula which help women learners lead a creative and holistic life. Autobiographical curriculum in Christian education makes women learners disorganize the distorted values and attitudes formed in patriarchy, and find themselves via making self-finding journeys with others and God in learning community. The contents of autobiographical curriculum are made up of women learners’ experience, bible stories, and social biography. Teaching-learning process in autobiographical curriculum is performed through Conscientization education method, aesthetic education method, dialogue education method, and spirituality education method. Teachers’ roles required in autobiographical curriculum are those of partners, patrons, and knowledge creators in the journey for women learners to find their selves. Autobiographical writing model is made up of the first step ‘journey by myself’ to mature a creative self, the second step ‘journey with others’ to mature a relational self, and the third step ‘rejourney by myself’ to mature a holistic self. The results of participation in autobiographical curriculum are analyzed after in-depth interview. In-depth interview shows that by way of autobiographical writing, women learners met their selves, found the meaning of their existence, recovered pride and at last formed active and positive selves. According to the self-perception transformed, the relationship with God was reformed, in which women learners reflected their own lives, realized God’s will, and interpreted and acted it in their lives. In other words, the change of relationship with God not only gives birth to that of relationship with others, but also forms women learners’ new lives. Women learners set to be free from mental and physical oppression by enlarging the positive factors in their lives and finding beauties in the world. It is expected that these holistic changes make women learners become self-conscious and self-creative, and that they go toward wholeness given by God.
