한국 기독 대학생의 종교성, 영적 안녕감, 삶의 만족에 관한 연구

초록

본 연구는 서울과 대전에 소재한 2개의 사립 대학교에 재학 중인 기독교인 278명을 대상으로 기독 대학생의 종교성, 영적 안녕감, 생활 만족에 대해알아보고 생활 만족에 영향을 주는 변인은 무엇이며 종교성과 생활 만족의관계에서 영적 안녕감의 역할은 무엇인지 규명하고자 하였다. 분석방법은종교성, 영적 안녕감, 생활 만족에 대한 집단 간 차이를 살펴보기 위하여T검정(independent-samples t-test) 및 일원분산분석(one way ANOVA)을실시하였다. 종교성, 영적 안녕감, 생활 만족의 관계를 실증하기 위하여 위계적 다중회귀분석(hierarchical multiple regression)을 실시하였으며 종교성과 생활 만족의 관계에서 영적 안녕감의 매개효과를 검증하기 위하여 구조방정식 모형분석(structural equation modeling, SEM)을 사용하여 검증하였다. 연구 결과 성별, 가족 신앙, 예배 참석 횟수의 경우에 종교성, 영적안녕감, 생활 만족에 대한 그룹 간 유의한 차이는 없었으나 신앙 정도, 신앙기간, 기도 횟수의 경우 그룹 간 유의한 차이가 있었다. 종교성의 하위 변인중 하나인 내적 성향은 영적 안녕감의 두 하위 변인인 종교적 안녕감, 실존적 안녕감, 생활 만족에 정적(+) 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 내적 성향과 생활 만족의 관계에서 실존적 안녕감의 부분 매개 효과는 유의미한것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 기독 대학생의 생활 만족과 영적 안녕감을 높이기 위한 다양한 기독교 교육적 접근이 필요함을 제시하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between religious orientation and life satisfaction and the mediating effect of spiritual well-being in this relationship among Korean Christian college students. Data was collected from two different universities in Seoul and Daejeon, and 278 students participated. As the analysis method, t-test and ANOVA analysis were conducted to examine the difference by groups regarding religious orientation, spiritual well-being, and life satisfaction. In order to verify the relationship between religious orientation, spiritual well-being, and life satisfaction, correlations analysis and hierarchical multiple regression were conducted. Finally, in order to verify the mediating effect of spiritual well-being, structural equation modeling was used. As a result of the analyses, intrinsic orientation had positive effect on religious well-being, existential well-being, and life satisfaction while existential well-being had mediating effect partly in relation between intrinsic orientation and life satisfaction. To improve life satisfaction of Korean Christian college students based on the study results, the necessity of diverse practical suggestions was proposed in Christian educational contexts.
