포스트 코로나 시대 공공선교학의 가능성 － 뉴비긴, 그리고 오케슨 중심으로

초록

코로나 19는 한국 사회뿐 아니라 교회에도 큰 영향을 미치고 있고, 앞으로 포스트 코로나시대 한국사회에 큰 변화가 있을 것으로 예측이 된다. 공동체의 치유와 회복이 필요한 포스트 코로나 시대에 한국교회는 대안적인 도전이 필요하다. 2005년 이후 미국 선교학회에서 시작된 ‘공공선교학’은 간학문적 학문으로서, 포스트 코로나 시대 공공성을 회복하고 하나님의 선교 (Missio Dei)를 실천하기 위한 좋은 대안이 될 수 있다. 본 논문은 첫째, 공공 선교학이 시작된 세 가지 문화적 배경인 소비문화, 초네트워크 사회, 그리고 파편화 사회를 소개하고, 교회에 영적 자본의 회복을 다룬다. 둘째, 공공선교학의 신학적, 선교학적 정의와 의미에 초점을 맞추기 위해 공공선교학의 신학적, 선교학적 핵심인 공공신학과의 융합, 하나님의 선교(Missio Dei), 그리고 경청의 신학을 설명한다. 마지막으로 ‘공공선교학’에 큰 영향을 준 레슬리 뉴비긴(Lesslie Newbigin)의 삼위일체적 공적 신앙과 선교적 공공교회론을 소개하고 포스트 코로나 시대에 대안적 선교와 교회론을 다루고자 한다.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered social, political, economic, and religious dislocation in South Korea. It changes every aspect of life in our public spheres. Since 2005 public missiology has been developed by American Society of Missiology (ASM) as a new interdisciplinary study. ‘Public missiology’ can be an alternative study for rethinking ‘publicness’ by focusing mission of God (Missio Dei) in the time of crisis. First, I introduce examples of cultural background (consumer culture, high-connectivity or network society, and the fragment society) that are reasons why public missiology has been emerged and developed in our community. Second, I deal with the definition and implication of public missiology by concentrating on public theology, Missio Dei, and theology of listening. Finally, I focus on Lesslie Newbigin who is a theological pioneer of public missiology and study his Trinitarian public faith and missional public ecclesiology to find alternative ways of mission in the Post-Corona era.
