본 논문은 영성훈련의 실제들에 대한 다양한 방법들을 소개 한 논문이다. 기독교영성사에서의 영성훈련이란 마음의 정화요 예수그리스도와의 인격적인 일치의 과정이다. 이런 의미에서 영성훈련은 반복하여 읽기, 기억하기, 명상하기, 기도하기와밀접한 관계가 있다. 이와 관련하여 다음의 방법들을 제시한다. 첫 번째는 향심기도(Centering Prayer)가있다. 기도의 뿌리를 내적인 침묵으로 보고, 우리의 모든 혼란과 감각기관을 마음 한 곳으로 집중시켜 하나님께 향하도록 하는 기도이다. 두 번째는 은혜의역사(a history of divine grace)를 체험하기다. 삶의 전 과정을 하나님의 은혜의 산물로 받아 들이고, 그것을 구체적으로 체험 해 보는 훈련이다. 세 번째는 거룩한 독서(lectio divina)이다. 말씀을 기도 속에서 소화해 내면서 성부 하나님과의 교제를 꾀한다. 네 번째는복음서 관상기도 contemplation of the Gospels)이다. 예수님의 공생애와 수난과 죽음을 담고있는복음서의 말씀과 함께 예수그리스도를 만나는 훈련이다. 그 만남을 통하여 예수 그리스도의 인격과 삶에의 일치를 추구하며, 그 분의 부르심에 대해서 구체적으로 응답하고자 한다.
Abstract
This paper introduces various ways of spiritual training. In the history of Christian spirituality, spiritual exercise has been understood as a process of purification of the mind and union with the person of Jesus Christ. Spiritual exercise is thus closely related with repetitive reading, remembering, meditation and prayer. Therefore, the methods are as followed. The first one is “centering prayer”which looks at the root of prayer as inner silence, thus concentrating all our disorder and senses into the inner depth of our heart in order to get to God. The second one is experiencing “a history of divine grace,”which is a exercisethat tastes the process of our whole life as God’s grace in detail. The third one is “lectio divina.”It is used to achieve intimacy with God through digesting the Word in prayer. The fourth one is contemplation of the Gospels, which is a exerciseto meet with Jesus Christ in the word of the Gospels that contain Jesus’public life, passion, death and resurrection. Through the encounter, it seeks union with the person of Jesus Christ and His life to respond to His calling appropriately .
