This keynote address paper "New perspectives in the research of cultural relics from Yangju city, Gonggi Province" has emphasized on the politico-geographical hub and battle ground for the competing 'the expansion of territory' in the historical context in relationship with the Three Kingdoms of Goguryeo(高句麗, 37 B.C.- 668 A.D.), Baekje(百濟, 18 B.C. - 660 A.D. and Silla(新羅, 57 B.C - 935 A.D.) Kingdoms/Dynasties. centering such archaeological site as Daemo fortress(大母山城) where so far excavated 13rd times by several institutions including Giho cultural relics(畿湖文化財硏究院) and even the script records on the wood(木簡) written in 914 A.D. of ‘post-Three Kingdoms(後三國)’ period were found, interconnecting and forming interaction sphere(通商圈) between Han(南‧北漢江), Imjin(臨津江) and Hantan(漢灘江) river basin located in Gyeonggi-do province(京畿道) as shown from the numerous historical records from the Samguksagi(三國史記), And so archeological evidences and historical records reveal that the area of Yangju city has been very important place since the prehistoric times, and especially standing out during historic times for the formation of unification of the Three Kingdoms.
