테피 장막극의 의미구조 연구: ‘탈출’과 ‘구원’의 모티프를 중심으로

Abstract

Research on Teffi (N. A. Lokhvitskaya), a popular writer of the first half of the 20th century, remains underdeveloped, even 150 years after her birth. In particular, the study of her full-length plays, as opposed to her feuilletons and short stories, is still in its early stages. The full-length plays, Момент судьбы(1937) and Ничего подобного (1939), which are the main subjects of this analysis, were first published in Russian Literature No.117(2021). This was made possible through a collaborative study by two researchers, T. Keijser and V. V. Zaltsman, who have compiled a comprehensive list of Teffi’s dramatic works. This paper introduces these recently published works and focuses on the thematic similarities they share with the author’s first full-length play, Шарманка сатаны(1915), written over two decades earlier in Russia. By examining the shared motif of a female protagonist’s escape and salvation, this study seeks to understand how the motif is transformed within the semantic structure of each play and what these changes signify.
