‘도덕적 행위’ 중심의 초등 도덕 교과서 구성

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to convert moral education centered on understanding of virtues into moral education focused on moral action. The 7th Morals Curriculum aims at cultivating virtue(character) of agent. So as to cultivating virtue(character) of agent, moral education need indispensably to habituate moral action. Moral education centered on understanding of virtues makes easily us to see the cognitive and affective aspect of virtues but makes a difficulty in habituation of moral action because of not presenting specific moral action. So this approach has a difficulty in accomplishing the objective of moral education. In this connection, we need to convert the current moral education centered on understanding of virtues into moral education focused on moral action. Through moral education focused on moral action, children explore the reasonable moral action in moral problem context and continue to practice it in his life. By doing so, they will accomplish the objective of moral education. This new approach does not present moral virtues in front of moral education but is to hope the acquisition of moral virtues as a result of moral education.
