인성교육을 위한 우리나라 학교 다문화교육의 방향 탐색

Abstract

School education in our nation lies in a serious danger. Violence of delinquent students makes all people anxious. In this situation, educators need to consider a counterplan. This study is to investigate a possibility of realization of personality education through multiculutral education. In order to realize personality education effectively, the contents of school education should be differed from the present curriculum and textbook contents. School curricula need to contain the contents related to multicultural education more than the present ones. But 2009 revision national curriculum has many problems such as the mount of time allocated in personality education and multicultural education even though it emphasizes the importance of personality education and multicultural education with regard to the direction of school education. In order to realize genuine personality education in our schools, the structure of school education should be changed fundamentally. Above all, our educational policy based on university entrance examination should be changed toward the educational policy for the realization of genuine personality education. Of course, the traditional education such as confucian ideas and Socratic method should be contained for the cultivation of moral nature. In conclusion, the big direction of our education should be put to forming the broad perspective and open mind which see the world and people impartially. In the light of this results, our school curriculum needs the revision of its direction and content toward the personality education and multicultural education which are based upon the realization of human right.
