본 논문은 한국선도의 인간학 중 인성론에 관한 연구이다. 한국선도는 儒佛道 삼교가 들어오기 전부터 존재해 온 민족의 고유한 문화이다. 한국선도에 관한 기존연구는 주로 역사와 종교적인 측면에서 이루어졌다. 그 이유는 한국철학 중 한국선도로 규정할 수 있는 사상적 준거가 부재하였기 때문이다. 한국선도는 인간론에 있어서 인간과 존재적 근원과의 관계, 인격론, 인성론, 수양론, 인생론, 이상사회론에 관하여 ‘人合一論’, ‘人’, ‘性’, ‘止感調息禁觸’, ‘朝天과天化’, ‘在世理化 弘益人間’ 등의 고유한 인간론적 개념들을 갖고 있다. 한국선도의 인성론은 인간에게 三眞(性命精), 三妄(心氣身), 三途(感息觸)의 세 가지 차원이 공존한다고 본다. 그 중 인간의 본성은 三眞이며, 三眞이 곧 性이다. 한국선도에서 인간은 三途에서 三妄으로, 三妄에서 三眞으로 나아가 궁극의 경지인 과 하나됨을 추구하며, 이를 人合一이라고 한다. 현대의 인간성 회복이란 感息觸에서 오는 18가지의 三途의 현상적인 차원에 의존하지 않고 善心, 淸氣, 厚身의 三妄 차원을 회복하는 것이며, 한국선도에서는 여기서 더 나아가 三眞과 性의 회복이 진정한 인간성 회복이라고 보고 있다. 인간에게 내재하는 三眞의 완전성과 神人合一의 회귀성이 그러한 인간성 회복의 가능성을 보여준다.
Abstract
The object of this essay is to study Korean Sundo anthropology especially in Treaties of Human Nature. Korean Sundo is Korean traditional culture that had been existed in Korea before the imported religions such as Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Most of the preceding studies on Korean Sundo had a tendency to focus on the historical and religious aspects since there was no adequate concepts or ideas to study Sundo in Korean philosophy. Korean Sundo has many anthropological concepts such as Shin-il-hap-il theory (Integration of God and human, 人合一論), Shin-in (人), Shin-sung (Divinity 性), Gi-gam·Jo-shik·Geum-chok (stopping feeling, easing breath, restraining touch, 止感·調息·禁觸), Jo-cheon & Chun-wha (one can reach back the original state of being 朝天과亻天化), and Jae-se-e-wha & Hong-ik-in-gan (governing by cosmic order & doing it for the sake of people 在世理化 弘益人間). Trearties of Human Nature in Korean Sundo sees three levels of nature in humans: Three Truths(三眞:性·命·精), Three Falls(三妄:心·氣·身), and Three Ways(三途:感·息·觸). Three Truths, which represents Divinity, is the original human nature and Three Truths means divinity. Korean Sundo aims at combination of God and Human Shin-in-hap-il (人合一) through which people recover the divine nature inside them, and then eventually return to the root of their existence. Finally, the recovery of true human nature in modern times depends on finding Three Truths and Divine Nature insidee human beings. Korean Sundo argues each human can reach the stage of Shin-in-hap-il because he or she was perfectly born with Three Truths and Divine Nature.
