Utilizing cultural heritage to create digital content for preservation and succession

Abstract

Cultural heritage refers to the values t hat are worth inheriting from our ancestors' culture.[1] Our cultural heritage embodies our history, identity, and pride, allowing us to reexamine and understand past lives, knowledge, and experiences. Preserving and transmitting our cultural heritage is extremely important. To achieve this, we aim to promote it through the convergence of cultural content and IT technology in media art. This form of media art is particularly effective in introducing our cultural heritage to domestic and international tourists. The three major star-gazing gardens in Jeonnam serve as important venues for the dissemination of cultural heritage. Through various content, they introduce our cultural heritage and contribute significantly to its preservation and succession by widely promoting cultural tourism content utilizing multi-displays.
