Abstract
This Paper is an attempt to medical philosophically explain the principles of health and disease in Nietzsche's philosophy. Nietzsche's philosophical critical mind was human's existential health. And his critical mind begins with the diagnosis of existential diseases arising from dualistic interpretations of the world and human beings. Therefore, the dissolution of the metaphysical- religious interpretation of the world and life serves as the basis for the epistemological transformation of health and disease. The ontological foundation of health and disease is life. Life cannot be interpreted metaphysically or religiously, nor can it be dualized. Life is nature that works through the body, and life as nature is the foundation of human existence. In other words, health and disease are natural phenomena that follow the principle of life. However, the scientificization of medicine has been indifferent to the value of nature as an ontological characteristic of humans. As a result, medicine has become indifferent to human existence. However, Nietzsche presents the conditions of health for human values that cannot be denied even in the scientificization of medicine, and explains health and disease through the principle of life-nature-existence. And his concepts such as “Great health,” “Body,” “Will to Power,” and “Philosophical Doctor” guarantee the epistemological transformation of health and disease, and at the same time reveal the philosophical characteristics of Nietzsche's philosophy.
