Slant submanifolds of quaternion Kaehler manifolds

Abstract

This paper has two objectives. The rst objective is to studyslant submanifolds of quaternion Kaehler manifolds. We give character-ization theorems and examples of slant submanifolds. For the secondobjective, we introduce the notion of semi-slant submanifolds which aredierent from the denition of N. Papaghiuc [15]. We obtain characteri-zation theorems, examples of semi-slant submanifolds and investigate thegeometry of leaves of distributions which are involved in the denition ofsemi-slant submanifolds.
